Services provided by Four Seasons: • Experienced and friendly staff. Four Seasons works
hard to make sure each and every staff member is extremely
friendly, understanding and truly interested in making sure each and
every rider's expectations are reached or exceeded. • Extraordinarily scenic route offering moderate cycling distances, challenges and great descents. • Unforgettable community involvement throughout the Big Island. • Airport shuttles to & from the host hotel
on Sat before the tour begins and Sun, the day after the tour ends. • Tasty, nutritious and bountiful meals prepared by local Big Island caterers and restaurants. Vegetarians accommodated. We will also do what we can to help vegans with their unique food selections. • Eight delicious dinners, seven
hearty breakfasts & plenty of snacks and fruit every day of the tour. We also provide plenty of "make your own" lunch foods about half way through each day's journey. • Four Seasons provides bed accommodations from
Sunday through Friday night, two to a room, except
at Volcanoes and in Honokaa, where limited facilities may necessitate
bunk arrangements. No camping is available during this tour. If a single supplement is preferred, please contact Four Seasons for details. • Daily Route Guides (DRGs) with a map and written directions describing every mile of your journey. • Gear transported for you every day of the tour. • Professional bicycle mechanic for the entire journey. If you are bringing your bike with you, please have it tuned up before the tour. •
Road support with knowledgeable and friendly
staff patrolling the route each cycling day. Each vehicle
is stocked with water, a pump, spare parts, snacks, fruit, first-aid
supplies and space for those
needing or desiring a lift. • Local entertainment. •
Optional racing canoe rides in Hilo (cost is about $25) provided by the
Keaukaha Canoe Club. Information on optional excursions in Hilo is also
provided. • Rider Jersey (only with groups larger than 10) bigger & Certificate of Completion. • Information on the bike rentals available in Kona
for those wishing to rent bikes on the Big Island. The cost is
aproximately $25 a day for a high end bike. Renting is a reasonable
alternative to bringing your own bike. • A complete packet of info describing everything you need to know about
preparing for the tour. Info will be available on this website as well as
mailed to those without internet connections. Each participant provides their own: • Airfare to and from the Big Island. • Lodging before and after the trip - Four Season's provides beds from Sunday through Friday night of the tour. • Cycling clothes and gear. •
Personal bicycle shipped to the Big Island (Four Seasons will provide a
shipping address) or rented on the Big Island. It is always a good idea
to bring a couple of extra tubes and some basic repair tools (small
pump, tire repair kit, etc.) on any tour. • Personal transportation costs if you choose accommodations other than those provided by Four Seasons. • Special tours and events in which you decide to participate. Four Seasons
will recommend its favorites and supply contact information
for various excursions.
