Ride at your own pace: The Big Island Ride is ridden at your own pace. Cyclists don’t need a lot of experience to bicycle the Big Island. However, several days are somewhat challenging, so it is a good idea to ride as much as weather and time allow before arriving in Hawaii. Not to worry, though, the Four Season's staff will be on the road for as long as it takes for everyone to pedal from one destination to the next. And, when desired, we will gladly offer any rider a lift.
Who rides? Bicyclists are attracted to our tours by their desire to explore a unique area of the world in a healthy and adventurous manner. Participants range from teenagers to over 70 years of age. About half are women. Several couples are included in every group. Feedback from past customers indicate they return because of our personalized approach to touring and the staff’s efforts to make the tour a lot of fun for everyone involved. Our typical group size is 10 to 40.
Some basics: Helmets are required on all Four Season's tours. Mirrors are recommended as well. Safe, legal and courteous cycling is an expectation of all participants on the Big Island Ride. Four Seasons reserves the exclusive right to make any itinerary changes it feels will ultimately improve the tour. Each participant must sign a Liability Release Form before participating in any Four Season's event.
